Q. Where is Dry Creek Village?
A. Dry Creek Village is located in a peaceful setting approximately 25 miles from Steamboat Springs. From Steamboat Springs, take US 40 West (just beyond the railroad tracks) to RCR 37, turn left, and the subdivision entrance is approximately one mile on the right side. From Craig, take US 40 East through Hayden and turn right on RCR 37.
Q. How many lots are in the subdivision?
A. A total of 150 lots are in the master plan for the project. The first phase is comprised of 54 lots.
Q. How much open space is there?
A. Dry Creek Village has devoted 25% of the project to open space which is over 11 acres in total. This will include soft surface trails and beautifully maintained grass with on-site playground equipment.
Q. How can building costs be reduced?
A. When the project was designed, the engineers thought ahead and assumed a crawlspace was going to be needed for each lot. They then calculated an average volume of dirt from the crawlspace and assumed the lot owner would use it on the lot. This would minimize expensive off site trucking of this material.
Q. Are modular homes allowed?
A. Yes, modular homes are allowed subject to architectural guidelines as defined in the covenants.
Q. What advantages does Dry Creek Village offer over other Hayden subdivisions?
A. Dry Creek Village offers open space behind most lots, giving the lots a much larger feel without adding the associated maintenance. DCV will also be located adjacent to Dry Creek Park. Additionally, DCV will have restrictive covenants to insure quality in the homes and their ongoing appearance. DCV also has the most convenient and direct access to Steamboat Springs, which will additionally be improved when the Town realigns RCR 37.
Q. What about access to Dry Creek Park? What improvements will be in Dry Creek Park?
A. Dry Creek Park is adjacent to and accessible from Dry Creek Village by a proposed soft surface trail. Plans for the park include soccer and baseball fields, as well as basketball courts, horseshoe pits, an amphitheatre, and playground equipment. Updates are available at www.townofhayden.org.
Q. What other amenities exist in Dry Creek Village?
A. Dry Creek Village will have substantial playground equipment (see the first phase layout for location) that will be installed in early 2008. Other open areas will include beautifully maintained grass and soft surface trails maintained by the association.

Q. How are the streets within Dry Creek Village maintained?
A. All street maintenance will be conducted and paid for by the Town of Hayden.
Q. Some local subdivisions have no utilities which means drilling a water well, digging a leach field or septic and adding propane tanks. What about Dry Creek Village?
A. Dry Creek Village will have public water, electricity and sewer, as well as natural gas and cable TV. All utilities will be placed underground to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the landscape.
